How many places can offer you two mountain ranges? At Glasha you have the choice of the Comeraghs or the Knockmealdown mountains. Wither you are climber, a hiker or a stroller we have maps and we have apps for Bru Boru Cultural Centre is a must. It is only a short trip from Glasha.
We are between the Knockmealdown and Comeragh Mountains, which makes it ideal for hill-walking. We have a large variety of walks to offer for both the experienced and more casual walker. There is a series of maps available of the local area for low-level walks, while those wishing to venture in the high country, can either take a locally reorganised guided walk, or follow their own routes using a local Ordnance survey maps. Olive will provide a delicious packed lunch to bring with you on your hike.
Touring and Sightseeing
Glasha is the ideal base to tour the South East of Ireland. For the history lovers there are castles at Lismore, Kilkenny, Cashel and Cahir. The famous Swiss Cottage in Cahir and the Round Tower in Ardmore are also well worth a visit. Glasha is 15 minutes' drive from Clonmel - the largest inland town in Munster. The town is a garrison town, complete with the historical Main Guard and the West Gate, still in existence. These structures form part of the old town walls. For the geographical sights - there are the Mitchelstown Caves, Mahon Falls, the Coumshingaun Lakes, one of Ireland’s best examples of a corrie lake.

In the Nire river which runs adjacent to the farmhouse.The Nire is a tributary of the famous River Suir. Trout fishing is the main form of angling on the Nire. Fishing permits are available locally.
